Staddie stuff

Our trip to Moreton Is mackeral fishing was very exciting. Above in the photo holding up a big mac is the captain, John Gomer Gleeson. I was first mate. If you know John you might know why he is called Gomer, but I'm not telling. I lost a mac beside the boat, I was devastated and hooked something so big I couldnt get it in. After half an hour John grabbed the rod and we just couldnt get it to the surface, so the capatain decided to cut the line presuming it was a shark. Barry's boat is in the picture, a long time friend of ours and the Tooth family. He used to baby sit the Tooth girls and calls Fiona, Widdler, a nickname she doesnt really like but Barry dont care.
A few good Dart caught along Flinders beach and plenty more since. Heaps of fun to catch and taste yummy in the smoke box. Another good haul today, about 20 and having another crack this arvo.
Canoeist headed up Wallum Ck, Amy and Sal, very hard going against the tide but had I listened to Daniel, my brother in law, we would have been going with the tide up the creek and with it down the creek, anyway lots of fun especially when a group of school girls headed up the creek too. Im sure they were trying to target us but I think they were much less experinced that Amy and I. We saw heaps of mullet jumping around, eagles and dolphins all over the place. Hand feeding is becoming very popular at Amity these days, will probably end up like Tangalooma on Moreton.
As you can see mum and dad are fine and really are cruising at Amity and why not?
Lovely to see our baby girl this week after having Jacky boy last week. Starting a new job very soon, we wish her all the best. Even Ames caught a Dart when she was here, very exciting. Probably wont see our kids again until June when they go on their holiday to Europe. Pop and Mor are heading up to Emerald to house sit for the Volks at Easter so they will enjoy the grandies for a week or two.
Ok thats it for now, will try and keep up with the blogging, lovce 2all
