The day of "Lates Calcarifer"
Patrick and I went fishing as we do and much to our delight on a farty little hook and an even smaller piece of worm I caught my first ever barramundi, yahoo. As it was only 52 cm and out of season it was released. However Patrick came to the rescue and supplied us with a haul of whiting, yummy. If your wondering about the title, thats is the barra's Latin name.As per usual i am having trouble finding photos so keep watching.

The very sad day we left old emerald town
Yippee!! we made it to the ashphalt.
4 hours and we landed at Armstrong beach.
Greeted by our lovely friends Jacque And Al.
Dodgy has a new boyfriend, Hammer they are inseparable.
Have already caught some local whiting, and a local crab catcher has supplied us with feed of delicious mud crabs.
I now have a devine recipe for chillie mudcrab(thanks Al) which I will kindly prepare for any guests who wish to join us??!
I've been on a small side trip up to Eungella & FinchHatton Gorge.
Simon & Jacque the exercise freaks had me walking 5.6km to a beautiful gorge.
We did get to have a nice cool off before we had to walk back to the car.
Until next time, ciao baby!!

Working out how to use this Blog!
I need to practice!
Our adventure starts with a very sad story. Our most loved boat - Digger had to go. So many great memories of fishing and camping around the Keppel Islands. It sold very quickly, so Pat really went into a major depression. To distract him, here's a photo of one of his catches -

Welcome
Welcome, Sally & Pat decided 18 months ago to sell up and run away! This was easier said than done. After 20 years of collecting beautiful things (crap), we're moving on. We've downsized to a life of plastic boxes in a garden shed at our sons and we're hitting the road.
Official departure date is: 9 January 2012 so stay tuned.
