catching up
The last couple of weeks have been full of catching up with family and friends. We stayed at the Redcliffe showgrounds and spent time with Jacque,Al and Hammer. We had to have repairs done on the Wedgie as we wipped out our awning on a low lying sign post somewhere along the way, nice resting place! Our beautiful son Jack paid us a visit,i can tell you i didn't want to let him go.We spent a nice afternoon at Fairfield with Helen and Mark Jack and Luke going out for Chinese for dinner. While with Jacque we went to skin things and finally got myself another cow hide, hooray!Working on photos, back soon.

Ikatan spa
The sky was a green we have never seen b4. Full of hail, rain and angry winds which tore roofs off houses and businesses in Cooroy. About 80ml was dumped on us and as it passed we were able to make our way to Ikatan. On arrival we were welcomed with tea and a schedule, instructed to wear our disposable undies, like the ones u get in hossie, haha. Not really like them, much nicer. We were covered with a spicy mud, wrapped in foil like a kebab, left to sit while we had a lovely scalp massage. We started heating up as the mud set then coconut milk was massaged into the mud then sat a bit longer before showering. We would have tasted delicious if we were baked at 180 for 30 minutes. This was followed by a massage using macadamia nut oil which left us feeling hydrated, vigorated and ready for anything, lovely. Thanks so much to Anna for this gift

Storm day
I was fortunate enough to receive a rather late 40th birthday present from my beautiful sister Anna. A bit over a week ago we had a Balinese boreh wrap and massage at a day spa near Noosa,Ikatan. We left Anna's all excited, however when looking skyward we saw the nastiest greenish stormy sky, so quickly

Pomona and Sunny Coast
We all hired an O boat and cruised up the Noosa river to Makepeace Island, and out to the mouth. It was a beautiful day, we swam and fished, and generally enjoyed being together.
We have had a rather busy time here, my sister Anna has kept us on the hop! After our day boating we had an early tea at Bar Sushie where Laura works. All a bit different but really yummy, i enjoyed the chicken rice and shredded seaweed, pork dumplings and salted soy beans. Our birthday dinner the night before was really fantastic. Maisey's is a very well established family owned seafood restaurant which actually fed our diggers during the war!Seafood galore, yum yum.We are packing up today and heading a little further south to Redcliffe, back later, cheers.

Played golf friday with Al Harris(bro in law) and both had shockers, 91 and 90 off the stick, but I won the ten bucks. Played again Saturday in a stableford comp and we both brought our "A" games. Playing off 14 and Al off 13 we both had 39points but he got me on a count back, better back 9. Got another game Tuesday, this time Im off 13 and Al off 12. Nice little track at Tewantin-Noosa, steeped in tradition.
Had Lauras 18th at Maiseys restaurant in Noosa on Saturday night. Lots of yummy seafood. Pics on the way.

We have been really busy doing alot of relaxing. On Australia Day we left Armstrong Beach for Turkey Beach, spent one night in Marlbobough behind this cool little pub.Our friend chook from Emerald owns a block in T.B where we called home for a bit over a week. Our attempt to escape the rain did not work, we had no sooner set up when the heavens opened, man did it rain! We met lots of very friendly people, attempted crabing and fishing in our little rubber duck, with not much success! We are now in Yandaran,40kms nth GinGin on Monduran Rd toward the coast,.our friends Guy and Lyn have a great place here. There are two little coastal joints about 20kms from here,Miara, good crabs and Norval Park, surf beach. On route a cute little country pub which is a good drinking hole.Still no luck with photos will be catching up with my clever sister this weekend so fingers crossed she will set me straight.Until next time take care.
